In this simulation, an electric vehicle with four wheels and a vehicle body model is propelled by a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) controlled using Direct Torque Control (DTC). The outer speed loop is regulated by an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) based PI controller, while the inner torque and flux loops are managed using conventional PID controllers. The speed reference is derived from the Indian Drive Cycle in meters per second (m/s), and the pulses are generated using Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM).
